Job summary

TC Energy is hiring for a LNG Plant Operator in Chesapeake, VA. You will operate processing equipment, read gauges, and support maintenance and safety tasks on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will monitor controls, calibrate instruments, and participate in plant outages as needed.

The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to read P&IDs and schematics, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Strong safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of lock out/tag out (LOTO) procedures.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and PFDs.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Operate LNG processing equipment and associated controls on a 12-hour shift.
• Record instrument readings and prepare operating reports.
• Inspect and maintain lubrication, levels, and temperature/pressure readings.
• Conduct rounds and monitor gauges and instrument readings.
• Perform or assist in maintenance during outages and emergencies.
