Job summary

TC Energy is expanding its USNG, Virginia South Area team in Chesapeake, VA to support LNG facility operations. The LNG Plant Operator will manipulate valves, operate pumps and motors, read gauges and follow Controller directions during processing and maintenance activities.

The role requires strong problem solving, communication, and decision-making skills, and includes a 12-hour rotating shift with extensive plant duties and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• SWA and LOTO procedures knowledge.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and PFDs.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Forklift and manlift experience.
• Train for the duties of Controller and perform such duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate LNG plant equipment per Controller's direction.
• Record instrument readings and prepare operating reports.
• Inspect and maintain levels, temperature, pressure, and flow.
• Calibrate gauges and test maintenance systems.
• Perform rounds and monitor gauges and equipment.
• Assist in plant outages and overhauls.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping duties.
