Job summary

NextDecade Corporation in Brownsville, TX, seeks a Sr. Advisor for Emergency Response & Fire Protection to provide strategic leadership, technical authority, and field oversight for emergency preparedness and fire protection at the Rio Grande LNG Facility and Marine Export Terminal.

You will establish and sustain an integrated, risk-based emergency management program protecting personnel, the public, the environment, assets, and operations continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Science, Emergency Management, Safety, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in industrial emergency response, firefighting, fire protection, or emergency management.
• Minimum 5 years supporting LNG, gas processing, refining, petrochemical, terminal, or other major-hazard operations.
• Experience leading an industrial emergency response team or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead Emergency Response Program across LNG facilities and related infrastructure.
• Oversee training and competency for emergency response teams.
• Provide technical authority for fire protection systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with regulators, local authorities, mutual-aid partners, and external emergency services.
• Develop and test Tactical Response Plans and drills.
