Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager with cranes and rigging expertise to lead heavy lift activities on a major LNG project in the United States.

You will plan, coordinate, and execute crane, rigging, and lift operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance across the construction site. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction management, with 5+ years in crane and rigging for large industrial projects, plus LNG or petrochemical experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in construction management, with 5+ years in crane and rigging for large industrial projects.
• Experience with LNG, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of heavy lift engineering, crane selection, rigging, load calculations, and transport logistics.
• Experience managing crawler/hydraulic cranes, SPMTs, strand jacks, and specialized lifting systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA, ASME, and industry best practices for lifting operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead crane, heavy haul, lifting, and rigging activities across the LNG construction site.
• Develop lift strategies, rigging plans, critical lift procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, logistics, and commissioning teams to support milestones.
• Manage crane and rigging contractors, lifting supervisors, and field personnel.
• Review lift studies, engineered plans, transportation plans, and crane utilization strategies.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to heavy lifts, oversized equipment, and transport operations.
• Oversee major LNG equipment installations (cryogenic vessels, heat exchangers, compressors, pipe racks, modules, tanks, structural steel).
• Monitor productivity, cost performance, and schedule adherence for lifting operations.
• Conduct site audits, safety reviews, and field inspections; support constructability reviews.
• Provide regular progress reporting to project leadership.
