Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced field engineer in Lake Charles, LA, to provide project field engineering specialization with work planning, material management, and safety oversight on a LNG project. You will verify quantities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.

You will lead rigging planning, develop lift data, and supervise critical lift activities as needed, contributing to safe and efficient project execution on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or international equivalent.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years for equivalent role.
• Extensive knowledge of rigging planning, lifting equipment, and site transport.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating field engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepares conceptual lift and transport studies.
• Provides input into transport and rigging strategies for crane and heavy lift requirements.
• Prepares bid specifications and assesses subcontractor lifting packages.
• Assists in cost estimates; prepares lift data sheets and calculations.
• Reviews lifting and site transport plans with Bechtel CRE approval.
