Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital is seeking a Training Coordinator on a temporary leave coverage. The role provides operational support to the Corporate Education & Training center, migrating content to WolfieOne and supporting LMS users during the go-live period.

Responsibilities include content migration, course review, data entry, and session scheduling, with emphasis on accurate testing, validation, and end-user support throughout the transition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an Associate's with 3+ years in HR or related field.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-learning software.
  • Ability to structure educational content and be trained on e-learning tools.
  • Service-oriented, strong team player with clear, empathetic communication.

Training Coordinator - Temporary Leave Coverage

Position Summary

** This is a Temporary leave replacement and can be ended at any time. **

TheTraining Coordinator will provide operational support to the Stomy Brook Medicine Training and Development Learning Center department.

Duties of the Training Coordinator may include the following but are not limited to:

  • Migrating existing learning content from HealthStream into WolfieOne.
  • Reviewing migrated courses for accuracy and functionality.
  • Providing LMS administrative support, including data entry, user support, registration management, and session scheduling.
  • Assisting with testing, validation, and implementation activities during the transition period.
  • Supporting end users and departments as WolfieOne approaches go-live.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree least 1 year of experience in general human resources or personnel administration, including experience with HR systems, employee records, personnel processes, training administration, or related functions or, in lieu of a Bachelor's, an Associate's degree with at least 3 years of experience in general human resources or personnel administration, including experience with HR systems, employee records, personnel processes, training administration, or related functions.

  • Proficiency in PC applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with e-learning software (such as Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate, etc.)
  • A foundational understanding of how to structure educational content, with a willingness to be trained on specific e-learning tools like Articulate or Camtasia
  • Must be service-oriented and a strong team player with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically to diverse groups


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in a related field such as Instructional Technology, Education,or Human Resources

  • Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or cloud-based HR transitions (e.g., Oracle, Workday, or HealthStream)
  • Experience in training, teaching, or professional presentations within a professional setting
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment or coordinating large-scale orientation programs

  • Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
  • Successfully complete a 4panel drug screen*
  • Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre employment screenings.
  • Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.

*The hiring department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The salary range for this position is listed below. This range reflects Stony Brook University Hospital’s good faith and reasonable estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting.

The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s verified years of relevant, comparable experience. Please note that misrepresentation or inflation of experience may result in disqualification from the hiring process or termination of employment if hired.

Some positions may also include annual supplemental pay, such as:

· Location Pay: for UUP, CSEA, and PEF full-time positions

· Shift Differentials: Additional pay for evening, night, or other supplemental shifts (e.g., inconvenience pay, geographic pay, or other applicable differentials)
