Job summary

Innovation Works in Pittsburgh is looking for an experienced content writer to develop training materials for the Scale Shop. The role involves creating course content on various machines and processes formatted for an LMS, aimed at providing thorough training for a diverse user base.

The candidate will collaborate with our technical staff to ensure the effectiveness of the training material and adapt courses based on user needs. A minimum commitment of 15-25 hours per course is expected over an anticipated project timeline from April to August 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in creating training materials for adult learners.
• Familiarity with workshop and makerspace environments preferred.
• Experience in online content development is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop training course materials for various machines and processes.
• Create content outlines and write course materials.
• Work with technical staff to review and revise content.
