Job summary

Motorola Solutions in San Diego area is seeking an AI Manager Language Models to guide development and deployment of Large Language Model ML solutions, bridging AI research and production engineering for public safety applications including 911 dispatch and case management.

You will support a collaborative team across the ML lifecycle, turning state-of-the-art language tech into dependable, real-world solutions that help first responders and safety professionals in both public and enterprise

Qualifications

• 8+ years of combined experience as a machine learning researcher and/or a post-graduate degree in a quantitative science or engineering.
• Including 2+ years of direct management experience leading technical teams.
• Previous experience managing an LLM-based solution from inception to market.
• Previous experience managing cloud-based software engineering
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of large language model driven machine learning solutions
• Work across all stages of the machine learning lifecycle, including data curation, model training, deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and feedback.
• Apply your knowledge to public safety application areas such as 911 call handling, dispatch, and case management, and enterprise applications in retail, commercial security, and infrastructure management
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and research scientists to build scalable machine learning products
• Create reusable components to support integration between research teams and production engineering
