Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a livestock handler to feed, water, and monitor cattle, move stock between pastures, and maintain facilities on-site. Duties include examining animals, maintaining records, and assisting with feeding plans. Experience with cattle and NDE vertical feed mixers is preferred.

• Must have experience handling cattle and feeding cattle.
• Must be comfortable around cattle.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain a driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies.
• Herd livestock to pastures, scales, or enclosures.
• Examine animals for illness or injury and check physical characteristics.
• Maintain equipment, buildings, pens, yards, and fences.
• Move equipment or livestock between locations on the farm.
• Clean stalls, pens, and equipment with disinfectants and brushes.
• Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions.
• Maintain feeding and production records.
