Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a farm laborer to feed and water livestock, monitor supplies, and move animals between pastures and enclosures. You will inspect animals for health or injury, administer medications or arrange veterinary care, and identify ownership using brands or tags.

The role includes assisting with breeding and calving, maintaining clean stalls, and following strict biosecurity and safety guidelines. English is required and a valid driver’s license may be needed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak English.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water livestock and monitor supplies.
• Herd livestock to pastures or enclosures.
• Examine animals for illness/injury and check weight gain.
• Provide medical treatments or arrange veterinary care.
• Mark livestock for ownership with brands or tags.
• Move livestock between locations and clean stalls; mix feed and meds as prescribed.
• Assist with reproduction tasks including artificial insemination and births.
