Job summary

Responsibilities

• Herd livestock to pastures and move animals to pens, scales, and enclosures.
• Examine livestock for illness or injury and monitor condition.
• Administer medications and arrange veterinary care when needed.
• Maintain buildings, pens, fences, feeders, and equipment.
• Feed, water, and monitor minerals; remove ice from water sources.
• Wean calves and assist with animal identification and recordkeeping.
• Shop and purchase cattle feed and farm supplies as directed.
