Job summary

Gray Media's WILX-TV in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a Technical Media Producer to direct live and pre-recorded productions, monitor on-air streams, and manage daily programming and inventory.

The role requires hands-on experience with Ross Overdrive automation, Ross production switcher, MCR/Harris automation, Utah House routing, VizRT graphics, and Adobe Photoshop. ENPS usage and FCC regulations knowledge are a plus; overtime and varied shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Great communication and people skills.
• Newscast directing/Master Control experience or Technical Directing experience in a system nearly identical to WILX.
• Operating knowledge of PCs and graphics computers (Vizrt knowledge and experience preferred).
• Understanding of FCC broadcast regulations.
• Pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Direct live and pre-recorded productions as assigned for WILX-TV10.
• Direct technical operations including Ross Overdrive, Ross switcher, MCR/Harris automation, Utah House routing, VizRT graphics, and Photoshop.
• Operate live trucks and internet-based video operations.
• Maintain FCC logs and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Train new personnel and assist production areas as needed.
