Job summary

Gray Media, the owner of WNDU-TV, seeks a Technical Media Producer to lead live production operations and switcher control from the PCR or remote locations. This role collaborates with producers to shape the visual and technical look of each broadcast.

The TMP will manage live transitions, audio, and video routing during news and special events, ensuring timing and quality under pressure. This position requires hands-on technical leadership and flexibility for non-traditional hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of broadcast TMP or live studio experience.
• Hands-on control room experience in switching, audio, graphics, robotics, and rundown software.
• Familiarity with ENPS or similar news systems.
• Knowledge of FCC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate the video switcher for live and taped programming.
• Direct certain shows when needed.
• Coordinate with producers, studio and control room teams to execute broadcasts.
• Lead the control room and studio crews to deliver regular and live programming.
• Collaborate with feeds team for remote guests and live hits.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to maintain quality.
