Job summary

WIS-TV/Gray Media in Columbia, SC seeks a Technical Media Producer to direct live or pre-recorded productions, monitor on-air streams, and manage transmitter logs. The role requires coordinating with the control room and sustaining high production standards.

You will work with Ross Overdrive, VizRT graphics, Panasonic PTZ cameras, and ENPS, collaborate across departments, train new personnel, and ensure FCC compliance while supporting digital content.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and people skills.
• Proficiency with PCs and graphics workstations.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights/weekends.
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods.
• Good hearing and vision; clear spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Direct live or pre-recorded productions and monitor on-air streams.
• Manage FCC logs and transmitter logs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform Master Control duties and handle network feeds and studio operations.
• Work with AP ENPS and newsroom systems.
• Prepare media for news and maintain production areas.
• Train new personnel and coordinate with other departments.
