Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site summer camps. You will oversee all prep and production for a designated day part, manage staff, and ensure strict allergen safety protocols.

Expect a demanding, high-volume environment with live-in requirements, 6 days per week, and opportunities to lead a dynamic culinary team across multiple camp facilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Able to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Live on-site in rustic setting and commit to demanding 6-day/70-hour weeks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; staff management.
• Ensure culinary quality, portion control, scratch cooking, and timely service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and health sanitation standards.
• Handle inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
