Job summary

The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) at the University of Indianapolis oversees the administration of assigned residential areas, supervises student staff, and fosters community development as part of the Office of Residence Life. This full-time, 12-month live-on role includes a partially furnished apartment and a meal plan to support staff and students.

Responsibilities span building management, staff development, and crisis response to promote student success and well-being across campus

Qualifications

• Experience working with undergraduate and graduate students.
• Supervisory experience or experience in university settings.
• Excellent professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to Resident Assistants and Graduate Assistants.
• Participate in recruitment, selection, training, development, and evaluation of student staff.
• Maintain weekly staff meetings and biweekly individual meetings for ongoing development.
• Set clear performance expectations and ensure adherence to processes and policies.
• Provide indirect supervision to additional staff in assigned communities.
• Promote a positive team environment by addressing problems within the team.
