Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) seeks dedicated Full-time Flex Houseparents to live on campus and care for a group of 8-13 students. The role supports a structured, family-like environment that promotes academic, emotional, and social development.

Couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses aged 27 or older. The position includes housing, meals on duty, and a competitive benefits package. Training and relocation assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
