Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervise 8–13 students, and foster a structured, family-like environment to support academic, emotional, and social development.

The role begins with nine days on duty, then three off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
