Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, is seeking full-time Flex Houseparents who will live in on-campus student homes and provide care and mentorship to groups of 8–13 students. This two-spouse role requires couples to be married for at least two years and both spouses to be 27 or older.

Responsibilities include supervision, activities planning, devotions, and budgeting. The position offers housing, meals while on duty, comprehensive benefits, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
