Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, guiding 8–13 students to support academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include supervision, scheduling, medications, transportation, devotions, and budget reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off cycle and transitions to a placed home later, with comprehensive benefits and relocation/training support.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lead daily devotions and attend Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
