Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA invites married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus. You will live in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students, fostering a structured, family-like environment to promote academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include supervision, scheduling, wellness, driving to activities, daily devotions, and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
