Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus homes, provide care and supervision for 8-13 students, and foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

Role includes daily supervision, schedule management, transportation, and leading devotions, with a nine-on / three-off cycle and progression to a placed houseparent role.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreation.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
