Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living in on-campus student homes and providing care, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students. This role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and progresses to placing the couple in a single student home.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role; both spouses must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan development and recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
