Job summary

EF Miami Beach is seeking a Senior Residential Advisor to oversee resident life, provide leadership for housing operations, and support the Housing Department. This part-time, live-in role combines RA duties with administrative responsibilities and requires flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

You will supervise students, manage dormitories, support student well-being, and participate in housing communications and coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential life, student services, hospitality, or related fields.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and calm when handling student concerns or sensitive situations.
• Detail-oriented and able to balance multiple priorities.
• Comfortable with email, spreadsheets, shared documents, record keeping and general office tasks.
• Reliable, proactive, flexible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Evenings, weekends, on-call shifts, and major arrival/departure periods availability.

Responsibilities

• Student Supervision: support well-being, safety and conduct of students, including curfew checks for under 18.
• Dormitory Management: room checks, document concerns, coordinate with Housing/Maintenance.
• Student Support: address questions, concerns, conflicts, complaints, emergencies.
• Residential Operations: check-ins/outs, on-call duties, overnight coverage, major arrival/departure periods.
• Community & Leadership: create welcoming environment through role modeling and leadership.
• Communication & Crisis Response: respond to incidents and inform Housing management.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
• Housing Administrative Support: assist with housing operations, records, reports, and admin tasks.
• Student Follow-Up: documentation and follow-up on housing concerns, curfews, conduct, and discipline.
• Communication & Coordination: between Housing, RAs, Security, Maintenance and departments.
• Administrative Support: reports, intakes, and housing projects.
• Senior Residential Advisor Leadership: mentor teammates and coordinate tasks.
