APEX International Education Partners, LLC (APEX) seeks a reliable Part-Time Resident Assistant to supervise international middle and high school students living in a residence hall on Mitchell College’s campus in New London, CT. The role is 10 months, with evenings and weekend duties, starting mid-August and ending mid-June.

The RA will support the Full-Time House Parent, provide evening and overnight supervision, and help foster a respectful, community-oriented atmosphere for a growing student

Qualifikationen

• Fluency in English is required; Mandarin Chinese strongly preferred.
• Experience working with youth or in residential settings is a plus.
• Reliable, responsible, and comfortable enforcing rules and boundaries.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Aufgaben

• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for international students during evening and overnight hours.
• Conduct nightly room check-ins to ensure students are accounted for and following residence guidelines.
• Be physically present in the residence hall from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM on assigned duty nights.
• Monitor student conduct and provide basic support as needed.
• Respond to minor issues or escalate emergencies to the House Parent or emergency services.
