Job summary

Texas A&M University - Texarkana is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator to oversee a residential community, provide student development opportunities, and ensure safe, well-managed housing. The role involves supervision of Resident Assistants, program design, and close collaboration with campus partners.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), strong communication skills, and the ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent
• 1 year of related experience
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate duty coverage and response protocols to ensure supervision and support within the residential community
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate Resident Assistants and student employees
• Design and implement educational and social initiatives aligned with the residential curriculum
• Direct day-to-day housing operations, occupancy transitions, and records management
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to student crises and emergencies
