Job summary

Wiley College in Marshall, TX is seeking an Area Coordinator to oversee a student housing community of 72 to 500 residents. Under the Director for Residence Life, the AC will supervise undergraduate residence life staff and support campus housing operations.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, student conduct processes, program development, on‑call coverage, safety compliance, and collaboration with campus services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of two years in student affairs.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation of assigned residential communities and provide crisis intervention support.
• Supervise and develop paraprofessional residence life staff (Community Assistants).
• Coordinate, plan, and present educational, developmental, and social programs with staff.
• Assist with recruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of staff.
• Provide resident support and resolve personal or interpersonal conflicts; assist with student conduct cases.
