Job summary

RiseBoro Community Partnership seeks an on-site live-in superintendent to maintain and repair the grounds and buildings of affordable housing properties. You will oversee roofing, masonry, windows, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and door hardware while coordinating with Porters as needed.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, strong organizational skills, and ability to perform on-call emergencies. A S‑12/S‑13 certification and a 2-year maintenance-related degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic carpentry, masonry, window and door repair, roofing, electrical, plumbing and HVAC diagnosis and repair.
• Organized worker with experience in maintenance of affordable housing buildings.
• Superintendent experience in comparable properties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair roofs, masonry, windows, doors, and hardware.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance.
• Paint and touch up surfaces; plaster and sheetrock repairs as needed.
• Respond to emergencies on call 24 hours.
• Coordinate with a Porter; live on site rent-free.
• Complete Yardi inspections as required by management.
• Daily upkeep and apartment turnover.
• Secure basement/cellar and manage locks.
• Shovel snow, sand, and salt as weather dictates.
• Other duties as assigned.
