Job summary

Vesta Management, NJ, is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead the maintenance operations at Zion Towers in Newark, NJ. This live-in role requires hands-on leadership and a proven track record in apartment community maintenance to ensure safety, appearance, and operations within budget.

You will manage staff and contractors, coordinate make-readies, conduct regular inspections, and respond to on-call maintenance needs to deliver exceptional resident experiences at the community.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in maintenance for apartment communities.
• Experience leading a team of maintenance staff and contractors.
• HVAC Type I and Type II required.
• Proficiency with drywall, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work.
• Live-in position at the property.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day physical operations and maintenance for the property.
• Manage inventory and parts, coordinate staff and contractors.
• Inspect make-ready apartments and ensure timely turnover.
• Lead on-call maintenance; nights and weekends may be required.
• Maintain safety, appearance, and curb appeal within budget.
• Report to the Property Manager and coordinate with the Physical Plant Coordinator.
