Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead on-site kitchen operations at our rustic summer camp facilities. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, ensure allergen safety, and uphold sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can thrive under pressure, live on-site for the contract period, and drive a high-quality, scratch-cooked menu for campers and staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, cooking skills, and adaptability with ingredients.
• Able to stand long hours, in hot/cold kitchen environments, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6‑day, 70‑hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff, fostering a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep, production, portion control, and scratch cooking execution.
• Manage allergen protocols and uphold health department sanitation standards.
• Handle inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
