Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA invites married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus student homes, supervise 8-13 students, and help with daily routines, meals, and activities.

The role emphasizes mentorship, devotions, and oversight of budgeting. Couples work a nine-on, three-off schedule initially, with transition to a placed houseparent role in the same student home.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married requirement and age 27+ for both spouses.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental and recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
