Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes and support 8-13 students. The role emphasizes supervision, mentorship, scheduling, and student wellbeing within a family-like environment.

Couples work a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle, with progression to a placed houseparent role. Benefits include salary per person, housing, meals on duty, and relocation/training support.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and schedules for student homes.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
