Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes, guiding 8–13 students with care, supervision, and a family-like routine to support academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role includes supervision, scheduling, wellness checks, and coordinating activities, with progression to a placed home role after initial assignment. Commitment to devotions and chapel is part of daily life.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying Sunday Chapel services.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
