Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking committed couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will live in on-campus student homes, supervising and guiding a group of 8–13 students to support their academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, healthcare, transportation to activities, and leading devotions. Schedule is nine days on, three off, with transition to a placed houseparent role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years
• Both spouses aged 27+
• No more than three dependent children in home
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans
• Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff are role models

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreation events
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
