Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes and care for a group of 8–13 students. This two-person role requires married couples to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.

Duties include managing routines, administering medications, coordinating activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgets and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role, married for at least two years, age 27+ for both.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license or ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and demonstrate integrity.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
