Job summary

Ohio Living in Texas is seeking a House Manager to oversee a group home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will supervise the Assistant House Manager, coordinate daily operations, and partner with clinical teams and families to ensure safe, person-centered care.

The role requires living on-site in a private 2-bedroom apartment, with daytime duties when day program closes, and coordination of care plans and schedules.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Services or related field or a certification in a Health and Human Services area with applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, coordination and support to AHM, ensuring smooth handoffs and consistent care.
• Assist residents in achieving active treatment goals, documenting in PCC.
• Lead staff in the home, support routines, health care needs, and care plan implementation.
• Promote independence and meaningful choices for residents.
• Transport residents to events, appointments, and errands per BV protocols.
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning sessions.
• Maintain home cleanliness, safety, and timely maintenance requests.
• Document safety drills and emergency preparedness.
• Maintain resident documentation and time records in PCC.
• Manage monthly household budget for groceries, supplies, and activities.
• Communicate with Program Director, IDT, and support teams; ensure regulatory compliance.
