Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents couples to live in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students. You’ll oversee daily routines, wellness, transportation, and enriching activities within a structured, family-like environment.

Two-person couples married at least two years, both 27+, are eligible. The role includes daily devotions, Sunday Chapel participation, and a compensated package with housing and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
