Job summary

Jimmy Jazz is seeking Live-In Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care and companionship to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will reside on-site during shifts and support with personal care, transportation, and daily living activities in a safe home setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, meals; administering medications as directed; documenting progress toward goals; and promoting independence and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a nurturing demeanor.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and reside on-site during scheduled shifts.
• Prior experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Must pass background checks and drug screening.
• Familiarity with 6400 regulations is advantageous.
• Successful completion of motor vehicle records and background check.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, community events, and social outings.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and track progress toward personal goals.
• Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion in everyday life.
