Job summary

Jimmy Jazz is hiring Live-In Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a on-site setting in Pittsburgh, PA. The role includes daily living support, medication assistance, and community outings, with a focus on dignity and independence.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass background/drug checks. On-site living during shifts is required; benefits include health plans and PTO.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours and live on-site during shifts.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Experience with 6400 regulations is a plus.
• Successful completion of motor vehicle records and background check.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, meals, etc.)
• Assist with medication administration
• Drive individuals to appointments, social activities, and community outings
• Maintain a safe, clean, and positive living environment
• Document services provided and monitored progress toward individual goals
• Be a role model and advocate for independence and dignity
