Job summary

Jimmy Jazz in the United States is seeking compassionate Live-In Direct Support Professionals to provide care, support, and companionship to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, maintain a safe home, and help monitor progress toward individual goals.

Responsibilities include assisting with medications, driving to appointments, and serving as a positive role model while living on-site during shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours and live on-site during scheduled shifts.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Experience with 6400 regulations is a plus.
• Successful completion of motor vehicle records and background check.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, meals, etc.).
• Assist with medication administration.
• Drive individuals to appointments, social activities, and community outings.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and positive living environment.
• Document services provided and monitored progress toward individual goals.
• Be a role model and advocate for independence and dignity.
