Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8-13 students. The role begins with nine days on duty followed by three off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group.

The position offers a salary per person of $46,917, plus comprehensive benefits, housing, meals during duty, and relocation/training support.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
