Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples for full-time Flex Houseparents who live on campus and care for 8–13 students, guiding academic, emotional, and social growth. The roles begin with a nine-day on duty, followed by three days off, and a progression to a placed houseparent with the same group of students.

Compensation includes $46,917 per person plus comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and housing meals on duty.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
• Experience working or volunteering with youth

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities with students
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
