Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising a group of 8–13 students and supporting their academic, emotional, and social development.

The role begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule, with progression to a placed houseparent living with the same group. Compensation includes salary, housing, meals on duty, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for married couples (must be legally married two+ years).
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• Experience with youth required.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Staff role models with professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and overseeing student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
