Job summary
Hartford HealthCare Independence at Home seeks a 24/7 Live-In Caregiver to provide comprehensive in-home care for elderly and disabled clients in Connecticut. Responsibilities include daily living support, meal prep, hygiene, and documentation of care plans.
The role emphasizes holistic, family-centered care and requires strong communication and observational skills. Candidates should reside in Connecticut, have a driver’s license and auto insurance preferred, and be prepared for one week on/one
Qualifications
- One year of prior personal care experience is preferred.
- Live-in experience is preferred.
- Drivers license and car with auto insurance are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene and grooming care to clients.
- Assist with toileting, ambulation, and daily activities.
- Prepare meals meeting clients' nutritional needs.
- Report changes in clients' condition to nurse or supervisor.
- Perform routine housekeeping and home management duties.
- Record client care on care plans and submit timely updates.
- Provide emotional support to clients and families.
- Assist with routine therapy exercises.
- Participate in case conferences as requested.
- Attend required in-service education sessions.
