Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Food Service Operations Director for an on-site, live-in role at a rustic summer camp. You will oversee all daily culinary and service operations, supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure strict allergen safety.

This seasonal contract runs May through September, with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week, competitive pay, bonus structure, and full room & board for the duration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; Allergens certification required before start.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train Front of House and kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen and safety compliance; manage Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan protocols and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, track daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
