Job summary

Wolfoods seeks a seasoned Food Service Operations Director to lead all daily culinary and service operations at our on-site summer camps. This hands-on leadership role oversees staff, budgeting, and allergen safety across high-volume facilities.

The position is live-in and on-site, demanding a 6-day, 70-hour work week in rustic camp settings, with opportunities for growth and a competitive bonus structure during the seasonal contract.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required; ServSafe Allergens required before start date and company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, high computer literacy, budgeting capability, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen environments, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ready to live on-site in a rustic setting, work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week, and thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train Front of House and kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, and track daily reporting.
• Serve as the main liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
