Job summary

Marietta College is seeking an Area Coordinator (AC) who will be a live-in professional in the Division of Student Life. The AC will supervise a housing complex, mentor paraprofessional staff, and collaborate with campus partners to support student growth and success.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with a preference for a Master's in Counseling or Higher Education. Availability for evening and weekend hours is expected as part of supervisory duties, with opportunities for collateral

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Counseling, College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
• 1–2 years of residence life experience preferred (RA, graduate level, or professional).
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; ability to collaborate with students and campus partners.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Evening and weekend hours required for supervisory responsibilities and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a designated residence complex and paraprofessional staff.
• Develop and maintain an engaged residential community; communicate with residents through meetings and discussions.
• Oversee operations: safety, maintenance, inventories, and occupancy management.
