Job summary

Northeastern Illinois University is seeking a Production and Operations Manager for NEIU El Centro venues. You will lead event production, staffing, and operations for the lobby, community room, meeting spaces, and conference rooms, while providing support for campus-wide PTS events.

You will hire and train staff, set up live sound and AV systems, and coordinate with faculty, renters, and partners to ensure successful events and accurate invoicing. Evening/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; substitution rules follow posting.
• One year of education, training or work experience in the area of specialization; master’s may substitute for one year.
• Additional education or experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing AV equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan staffing, operations and production services for events at NEIU El Centro and other venues.
• Hire, train, supervise staff including students, freelancers and contractors.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot live sound, lighting, AV, and recording equipment; manage Zoom and remote conferencing.
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and documentation; coordinate with partners for meetings and events.
• Lead commencement, board and rental events; ensure accurate invoicing and space usage reporting.
