Job summary

Convene Hospitality Group, a global leader in premium meeting and event spaces, seeks a hands-on AV Technician to join the Operations team at Quorum by Convene in Midtown Manhattan. The AV Technician will deliver technology services including networking, audio, video, HSIA, conferencing, webcasting, and basic lighting for meetings and events in partnership with the General Manager and Technology Manager.

Qualifications

• Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting and assistance to customers of all technology competency levels.
• Troubleshoot AV equipment, including audio, video, lighting, networking, and hardware.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, peripheral devices, and network problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting and assistance to customers of all technology competency levels.
• Troubleshoot AV equipment, including but not limited to audio, video, lighting, computer networking systems, and hardware.
• Evaluation and troubleshooting of personal computer hardware and software, peripheral devices, mobile devices, and network component problems.
• Pre-program coordination with property teams to ensure needs are met for arrival.
• Provide anticipatory customer service by building relationships with Convene team members and vendors.
• Attend PEO, Pre-Con, and pre-production meetings as needed.
• Support day-to-day floor operations and room equipment handling.
