Massachusetts Convention Center Authority seeks a Sound Technician to support live events and exhibitions at its convention center facilities. You will set up and operate audio, video, network and satellite systems, ensuring cable management and coordination with internal teams to meet client requirements.

The role requires hands-on experience with analog and IP audio, video and satellite gear, plus strong IT/network familiarity.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of related experience in a hotel/convention center setting.
Experience with Analog or IP audio systems.
Proficient in the setup and successful operation of audio, video and satellite equipment.
Working knowledge of computer systems and network connectivity.
Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites.

Responsabilités

Set up, operate and repair audio, video, network and satellite systems for live events.
Manage cabling (audio, video, network, satellite, fiber) throughout convention center facilities.
Repair copper and fiber optic cable as needed or directed.
Install, patch and test Cat6 internet lines for Show and Internal use.
Maintain satellite receivers and related communication links.
Set up and monitor microphones and control room audio for optimal quality.
